Daily Fantasy Basketball plays for March 1st, 2012

On Friday, FanDuel is having a $200 NBA Freeroll – Click Here!

DraftDay is having a big promotion on March 7th by giving away courtside tickets and travel expense to Rockets @ LA Clippers on March 17th. You can enter up to five times FREE – CLICK HERE.

Four of the five picks from yesterday came through, Bass and Crawford were really big. However Speights was a major failure with only two points and six rebounds while turning over four times.

Just four games on the schedule, the Clippers do play Sacramento however, C rating.

$FanDuel/$DraftDay/$DraftStreet/$DailyJoust)

Jamal Crafword vs MIA ($6300/$9225/$11285/$132k) Crawford was a strong pick last night as he came out with 21pts, 5reb, 5ast, 1slt, 2blks and shot 5-9 from three point land. He’s red-hot right now and I love him on DraftDay where the give the extra point for three pointers.

Jared Dudley vs MIN ($6100/$9434/$9192/$92k) How is this for the crazy NBA schedule, Minnesota is about to play it’s THIRD game on the road, in a row, since the All-Star break, while Phoenix has been resting since the break! Dudley has been consistent, the match up is good, he should be rested, which will be value.

Michael Beasley @ PHO ($6200/$8935/$10258/$88k) Beasley had a monster game vs the Clippers on Tuesday with 27pts, 5reb and then followed it up vs the Lakers with 14pts, 6reb. He has a decent match up and should come through for his price.

Derek Williams @ PHO ($4900/$5580/$8852/$77k) DWill had a huge game two nights ago vs the Clippers and a decent outing last night vs the Lakers as he started with KLove out. He’s a natural talent so if he can get some minutes, he’ll produce. The match up is decent in a night for slim options.

Not much time to wrap up, sorry this is late, picks were solid overall yesterday, Young, Hansbrough and Howard were huge, Collison and Delfino were solid.

Big night in the NBA tonight with twelve games, A+ rating.

$FanDuel/$DraftDay/$DraftStreet/$DailyJoust)

Brandon Knight vs CHA ($6100/$8820/$10288/$101k) Knight had a rought game in a tough match up vs Philly the other night but the four games before that were big. Earlier this season he put up 13pts, 10reb, 4ast, 1blk and 1slt vs Charlotte. I expect near the same which would be great value.

Jamal Crawford vs DEN ($6300/$9225/$10557/$110k) Crawford was hot headed into the AS break with a 20pt, 4reb, 8ast game and has a good match up in what should be a high scoring game in Denver.

Tristan Thompson @ NYK ($5100/$6155/$8565/$92k) Thompson has been a deep value pick here before and has come through. He has double doubles in his last two games and a great match up vs the Knicks. I like he upside for such a low price.

Brandon Bass vs MIL ($6200/$8040/$9661/$94k) Bass returned to the line up in good form on Tuesday with 12pts, 7reb, 2ast, 1blk and 2stls. Milwaukee is a good match up for him and he should put up his 20FBBpts with an upside of near 30, which is great value.

Mareese Speights vs DAL ($5800/$6940/$10293/$100k) Speights has been in double figures in pts his last five games, averaging 14.4pts, 9.0reb, 0.6ast and 1blk over that span. Great match up vs Dallas, he’s a bargin still at this price.

DraftDay is having a big promotion on Wednesday by giving away courtside tickets and travel expense to Rockets @ LA Clippers on March 17th. You can enter up to five times FREE – CLICK HERE.

Nine games on the schedule with some great match ups as Sacramento, Golden State, Washington, New Jersey and Detroit are all playing, A+ rating.

$FanDuel/$DraftDay/$DraftStreet/$DailyJoust)

Darren Collison vs GS ($6300/$9190/$10803/$101k) Collison has been flying under the radar as he’s having a good season. A great match up against Golden State, where he did lay an egg vs the Warriors earlier in the year on 1-12 shooting. However, it’s the 12 shots that is key here and with a fair share of Reb (3.5/g) and Assist (4.9/g), Collison should be a strong pick.

Carlos Delfino vs WAS ($6000/$8240/$10338/$95k) The Bucks are limping out of the All-Star break with injuries to Stephen Jackson, Mike Dunleavy, Andrew Bogut and Drew Gooden. Gooden might return for this game but it’s a question mark to how he’ll do after two weeks away. Delfino has received the bulk of the minutes over his last four games and has put up a ton of shots as well. The match up vs Washington is a good one, if he can make about half of his probable 12 shots, Delfino should be good value here.

Josh Howard @ SAC ($5100/$5600/$7145/$94k) Howard has strted the lsat two games, putting up 31pts, 13red, 3ast and 2stls combined. We all know that I could drop 20pts on Sacramento (not really, maybe 10pts), so get him in your line ups as the price has not caught up to his performance, yet.

Thaddeus Young vs DET ($6500/$9165/$10192/$100k) Young has been consistent this year and is averaging 11.8pts, 5.0reb, 1.8ast, and 1.0blk over his last five games. Elton Brand and Spencer Haws are still dinged up a bit and Young should get the minutes in this good match up vs Detroit.

FLYER ALERT Tyler Hansbrough vs GS ($5500/$6825/$7162/$86k) Hansbrough broke out the game before the break vs Charlotte with 22pts, 9reb, 1blk and 1slt. The match up vs Golden State is great, if he gets into another groove, it could be a similar result.

Late Addition: Daily Fantasy Basketball plays for February 23rd, 2012

I forgot one good play for today, with a good price:

Aaron Afflalo vs SA ($5900/$7818/$8839/$117k) Afflalo has three straight 20pt+, 5reb+, 3ast+ games and a good match up vs the Spurs. He should be a steal for hsi price.

Good luck today!

Picks were BIG last night, all of them hit, Crawford and Frye were huge for their price, first lets celebrate with some highlights…

Ridnour nails game winner!

Paul George has some Dominique in him for sure:

/standard Blake

Just four games on the schedule before the All-Star break this weekend. The Blog will return on Monday for Tuesday’s nine games. Today is not bad of a schedule, considering four games, B minus rating.

$FanDuel/$DraftDay/$DraftStreet/$DailyJoust)

Mario Chalmers vs NYK ($5600/$8711/$8727/$93k) There is no D in Jeremy Shu-How Lin, or Linsanity for that matter. Deron Williams went nuts on the Knicks the other night and Chalmers has been playing well with 20pts, 2reb, 3ast and 1stl in his last game.

JJ Redick @ ATL ($5300/$7474/$6923/$76k) Redick stepped in for Richardson with 12pts, 3reb and 6ast. He should have a similar base-line tonight and if he gets hot, he could have a high upside. Joe Johnson is out for the Hawks so Redick might have an easier time to get his shots off in what would normally be a tough match up.

Danny Green @ DEN ($5000/$6924/$7272/$71k) Green had 16pts, 5reb, and 2ast in the game versus Portland the other night and has been fairly consistent in his starting roll for Manu Ginobili. The match up vs Denver is a good one and he should get more than fair value for his price.

Polarizing day, Knight was a steal with 24pts, 5reb, 3ast, and 1slt, Speights and Sessions were mediocre to terrible with about 13FBBs and Tristan Thompson shot 0-5 and laid an egg.

Plenty of room to redeem today with a whopping thirteen games on the schedule.

$FanDuel/$DraftDay/$DraftStreet/$DailyJoust)

Jermey Lin is back in action and still underpriced on DraftDay – $9931. Before you add him to your teams, you should learn the Lin & Fields handshake.

Isaiah Thomas @ WAS ($4900/$6095/$8953/$133k) I’m probably going to get burned for this as I didnt pull the trigger on him last night. Thomas put up 24pts, 3reb, 5ast in a tough match up vs Miami last night. This match up vs Washington is not the greatest, Washington plays tough D vs guards but Thomas’ is coming on strong for Sacramento. Notice how fast DailyJoust’s algorithm adjusted here.

Luke Ridnour vs UTA ($5900/$9931/$8691/$88k) Since back from injury, Ridnour has been avgering 10.3pts, 4.3reb, 50.0ast, 0.8blk and 0.8stls. Utah gives up plenty of points to guards, the match up looks good in what is to be one of the higher scoring games of the night.

Marco Belinelli @ CLE ($5400/$7040/$7567/$84k) Belinelli has been getting the shots, 11 per game in his last five while averaging 15pts, 2.6reb, 1.2ast and 1.4stls in that span. The match up is OK vs Cleveland, not the greatest, but I expect around 15FBptss with an upside of 25.

Jordan Crawford vs SAC ($5700/$7309/$8046/$90k) Crawford has been on the rise the last few games, he’s had back to back 20pt games with a total of 9reb and 5ast in them. Next up, Sacramento in a game where the over/under opened at 201.

Channing Frye vs GS ($6200/$9220/$10897/$106k) With 19pts, 11reb and 2blks in his last game, Frye has the Warriors coming to town that have no ability to stop a big man. (Gortat should match up well here also.) Frye is a bit undervalued for what should be a solid game.

Yuck. Bell was a really late scratch, Ayon didn’t do much, and Foye took thirteen shots but only hit four. Ersan Ilyasova was great and Speights was just OK, Speights was off to a great start on the night and didn’t produce much in the 2nd half.

Just five games on the schedule today, Miami plays Sacramento so plan your teams around LeBron, Bosh and Wade. (O/U set at 203 pts.) B rating.

$FanDuel/$DraftDay/$DraftStreet/$DailyJoust)

Brandon Knight @ CLE ($6000/8546/$9179/$88k) Knight was a value-darling earlier in the season, then he was hurt for a few games and struggled to return to form. However, in his last two games he’s turned it up a bit and has a decent match up vs Cleveland. Knight’s price is low for what should be 20 FBBs with an upside of 25-30.

Ramon Sessions vs DET ($6200/$8564/$11467/$108k) Sessions is mister consistent with 20FBBpts+ in his last six games which includes three 30FBBpts games. He had 16pts, 7reb, 6ast and 1stl in a earlier meeting vs Detroit this year. Featured here two nights ago he put up 14pts, 6reb, and 5ast but on 5-14 shooting. He should gets the shots, lets hope he makes more than half this time.

Tristan Thompson vs DET ($4900/$6200/$9288/$93k) Thompson was featured here two nights ago and put up 15pts, 12reb, 1ast, 3blks and a 1stl, but what is most important is that was on a season high 30 minutes. He has a good match up vs Detriot and should produce for his cheap price.

Marreese Speights vs PHI ($5800/$7226/$10367/$100k) The big men for Philly, Spencer Hawes and Elton Brand are out. This should create a good match up for Speights (and Gasol as well). Speights seems to be featured every day here but everything is lined up for a good game today.

HUGE day yesterday! I almost put Lin into the post as he’s still cheap on DraftDay and Lin had a monster game. I stayed away from him but regretted it.

It’s pretty clear Sacramento offers a bonanza of fantasy points for opposing players. I started four players on Cleveland in the line up I posted here and it ranked 18th out of 779 entries in the DraftDay Freeroll. Then there was Ersan Ilyasova who posted a monster stat line with 29pts and 25reb. The only one who was a bit light was MarShon Brooks, but for his price, he was fair.

Tristan Thompson played 30 minutes on Sunday, the most for him on the season and came through big with 15pts, 12reb, 1ast, 1slt and 3blks. He should be value as long as the match up is good and the players ahead of him remain out.

Not sure if you saw this on Saturday but I’ve been alarmed at the racial undertones of the Linsanity phenomena, tbh. Warning: racial comments in the SNL satire form.

Eleven games on the schedule, big day, A+ rating.

$FanDuel/$DraftDay/$DraftStreet/$DailyJoust)

Jeremy Lin is still completely under priced on DraftDay – $8763 and has a great match up vs the Nets.

Randy Foye @ GS ($5300/$6286/$8359/$77k) Foye is coming off his best game of the season on 21pts, 3reb, 4ast and 1stl and has a better match up against Golden State then vs San Antonio. He is the one benefiting the most from Chancey Billups being out of the season with big increases in floor time.

Raja Bell vs SA ($4800/$5005/$5635/$55k) Bell’s minutes have been trending up and he put up double digits in points over his last six games. The match up is good even despite San Antonio winning it’s last 10 games, San Antonio playing it’s six game on the road.

Gustavo Ayon @ OKC ($5900/$6293/$10827/$119k) Ayon has been featured here a few times in the past and now he is getting more minutes the Hornets front court banged up. Gustavo has double doubles in his last two games and the match up is good against the Thunder. He should be quite fair for his price.

Marreese Speights @ HOU ($5700/$7226/$10051/$99k) Averaging 12.6pts, 10.4reb, 0.8ast, 1.0blks over his last five games, Speights has been value and should put up a good stat line against Houston that struggles vs big men.

Ersan Ilysova vs ORL ($6400/$9096/$12182/$138k) Let’s face it, if he gets half his stat line from yesterday, he’ll be value on FD and DD and breaking even elsewhere.
